About the artist
In 2001, Robert moved to Ocala, Florida. With renewed energy after a 13 year break, he was ready to return to painting. His style reflects a maturity that comes from artistic exploration and a life well-lived. A master at shadows and sunlight with flickers of color, Stebleton draws the viewer into his world. “I have lived and worked in many places, but my paintings are more than a travelogue, they are snapshots of my life.” His pallet that was once filled with subtle earth tones now also has vibrant color. Experience has shown him that hard work and not being influenced by current trends has given him his artistic voice.

The first Friday of every month come on out and see what's new at Holborn Gallery!

For people who love boats, this is the ultimate subject. The harbor is that element that brings together shapes, sizes, colors, reflections, tidal changes and most of all sunlight. Studying how the boats are built, like a sculptor creating a figure. That is why the love of boats draws me to the waterfront, fascination and the ever changing views. It draws me as a painter to capture that certain view that perks my interest. That's what I find when I visit Tarpon Springs on any given day.
