Completing a 30 year career in his own practice of architecture, Russell Gustafson retired from the school board in Jacksonville, Florida. After another 12 years as a consulting architect and project manager, he retired to St. Augustine in 2004.
His early travels as a pilot in the United States Air Force in Japan, Korea, China, the Philippians, and Burma, opened up many avenues for artistic views and creative perspectives. His ability to delineate his architecture projects for his firm and others in Jacksonville, motivates him to bring his unique talents to architectural and historic subjects in nearby St. Augustine.
