About the artist
After seeing the world, Robert Schuh returned to Florida for its magic.
Fortunately, Florida Highway mentor, A.E. Beanie Backus encouraged Bob to share his vision.

Bob's work captures and preserves special times. You become the boy who loves to fish and the flyer who sees clouds from all perspectives. His painting, "Lift-off" reminds us that birds were the first to soar.

This stretch of beach is along the eastern shore of Conch Island, in Anastasia State Park, east of St. Augustine.

Would I like to be that surf fisherman again, with the fresh salt spray of a “Nor’easter” on my cheeks, on the shore end of a struggle – wondering if my opponent was a big bluefish, or a shark or a different denizen of the deep, long thought to be extinct? You bet I would!
