I am fond of taking photos all over the St. Augustine area and working from those photos in my studio. Sometimes I see parts of images that I like in several photos and I'll combine bits and pieces of them to create a painting. This painting comes from an image taken near Marineland, as well as some pieces of images taken at Butler Park West. The estuaries in northeast Florida have a particular endless feel to them, and, just as intriguing to me were the yellow green colors of early spring that seemed to spread out along the grasses of the marsh.
